1. UNITED TO THE VINEYARD

We began our morning by invoking the Lord’s light, inspired by a mantra and lighting candles. Then, we prayed Lauds and celebrated the Holy Mass. During the Mass, presided over by Father Eloir Borges, from the São Paulo Apóstolo Parish, we were led to reflect on three thoughts:

FIRST THOUGHT: There is evil in the world that tries to remove the image and likeness of God from us.

SECOND THOUGHT: The seed is good and every person has a way. The world gives up easily, but we cannot give up on people.

THIRD THOUGHT: We must be patient. We are called to be patient and prevent the weeds from destroying the good things that are within us. May the Lord have space in our hearts so that the good soil may prevail.

2. STEPPING ON THE GRAPE

The day’s work began with a spiritual conversation in the groups, which was then shared in the Chapter Hall. Following, yesterday’s minutes were read by the Chapter Secretary, Sister Luciane Francisco. After minor corrections, the minutes were unanimously approved.

This day was dedicated to work in the Committees, where each group compared the work already done with the talk by the Advisor, Father Alfredo Gonçalves. After this time of sharing, in the afternoon, we met again in the Chapter Hall to hear the conclusions of Committees 1 and 2, which were open to hear the opinions of the Chapter Members.

These conclusions helped us, in a timely manner, to make important decisions for our Religious Family.

After dinner, we met again in the Chapter Hall to hear the guidelines for the election of the Mother General according to the Articles of the Constitutions and General Directory regarding this matter. After clarifying all doubts, we retired to rest.
